We have a position available at Davo Welkom for a Technician.
General Function:
Install, maintain and repair data transmission equipment, aerial lines, conduits, cables, antennae and telecommunications equipment.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in cable/telecommunications/wireless network installations or related experience
- A+ and N+ or relevant qualification will be an advantage
- Valid Fall Arrest Certificate will be advantageous
- Valid driver license
- Must be able to climb ladders and roof tops of all types and perform job duties from high places
- Must be able to carry heavy objects
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Problem-Solving skills
- Must have the ability to operate hand tools including but not limited to step and extension ladders, electric drills, hammers and screwdrivers
- Must be able and willing to work in all types of weather including but not limited to hot, cold, rain etc
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Matric
- Team-player
Salary
- R4500.00 to R6000.00 basic salary pm (negotiable)
- Commission structure
- 50% Medical aid for employee (only employee)
Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
